Brilliant Portraiture

Wow!  I can’t believe how much time has passed since my last post!  I had no idea sitting for my portrait would take so long.  I’m really sorry, amigos.  I’m back, now.  You know, I’d go to the studio in the morning for the best light, then I’d return again in the afternoon.  Then, come evening, it was PAR-TAY with the other cat models.  I’m talking caviar, salmon, tuna, filet mignon… heck no it’s not served cooked!  Ewwww!  I eat it raw, man, like any respectable cat does.  Sheesh.

I promise to post a picture of my, err, picture when it’s done.  The artist says it could be quite a few more weeks or even months before he’ll feel like it’s finished.  I understand, of course.  Purrfection in a Max is achieved instantaneously; perfection in a background could prove hard work.  

In the meantime, I’d like to share a picture of something I love.  Art.  Pure, unadulterated, cat art.  Yes forks, I said cat art.  This particular bit of art is by James Dean— not the actor, duh.  I’m stealing this picture from his website, petethecat.com.  You should go there and get some Pete for your walls because he’s great, and who doesn’t feel moved by a blue cat?  Now, I have a Pete print but it’s not this one.  I couldn’t find mine on the site.  Naturally.  Things I have are special, unique.  Like me.  Enjoy Pete.  I sure do.

Blissful sleep

Meh-rwhraaaaaahhh.  

What a day!  I love days like today.  

On days like today, I enjoy blissful sleep all day long.  All.  Day.  Long.  Mmmm.  Sleeping is something that cats are known to do, but to me, achieving sweet, blissful sleep is an art form.  Like the time I positioned my body on the stairs in one of my old pads as you see in today’s portrait– pure art.  That particular level of blissful sleep is but rarely achieved in cats, never in dogs (especially vile prouncing ones), and never in humans.  

But you’re looking at it right here.  That’s right, I’m all over blissful sleep.  Blissful sleep is nothing without me, because I’m Max.  I percatify blissful sleep.
